Textiles, Felting, Eco Dyeing
Wendy Roche is a Melbourne based artist working primarily in textiles and fibre arts where her main focus has been in creating felted artworks and fashion accessories.
With a passion for reducing textile waste, her work is largely informed by sustainable art practices such as the use of natural plant and eco print dyeing to up-cycling garments creating individually designed items. Surface design is added to her felting by utilizing fabric remnants, and also incorporating Japanese shibori techniques into her designs.
